Just a quicky blog, asking the question should we vote, can we vote and does our vote count?
In Australia we have no protected rights, no "Bill of rights" there fore it could be said the only input we have into the way our country is run is our vote!
The constitution says we have an entitlement to vote, wether or not that entitlement is a right is also a big question.
The fact is we should vote, as it is all we have, but if we are to ensure our vote works, it must be a free and informed one, so how free is it, and how does one become informed? |

So where to for the future of our state and country?
The Environmental protections we were enjoying are now being shut down with the introduction of the Carbon Tax, our water is deliberately being poisoned, Taxation and revenue raising increases on a monthly basis, our rights and liberty's are being eroded every month, and our childrens best interests are on the back burner?
The government are selling everything they can get their hands on, our land, farms and infrastructure are all displaying "For Sale Signs", the UN are dictating our way forward and the banks and money brokers have their hands glued to our wallets and hard earned tax dollars! |
